Owner of GiddyUp Multisport Training - IRONMAN U & USAT Level 1 Certified.
Ryno Power is proud to announce we are devoting significant resources to the Triathlon scene. We have always had great contacts, partners and athletes representing us throughout their Triathlon efforts but for the first time in Ryno Power history, we’re going to be backing those efforts through extensive marketing, social media and event promotions.
Marcelo Duarte, the Endurance coach at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, formerly the Olympic Training Center, has been a long-time friend of the company and avid user of Ryno Power. Marcelo has turned on many triathletes nationwide to Ryno Power during the last five years. Our latest member of the Triathlete team is the queen of Triathlons herself, Michellie Jones.
Michellie is a world-renowned triathlete and Olympian. The Australian born athlete has won two ITU Triathlon World Championships, the 2006 Ironman World Championship, an Olympic Silver medal and a Paralympic Gold medal. Michellie has been inducted into the Australia Sports Hall of Fame, ITU Hall of Fame, and Triathlon Australia Hall of Fame.
After setting records her entire life, Jones set yet another record in 2006 when she became the first Australian woman to win the World Ironman Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, just the second Australian in history to ever win the event. After continuously winning triathlons, Jones decided to switch up her focus. In 2015, it was confirmed Jones would be the new guide for Australian Para triathlete, Katie Kelly leading up to the 2016 Summer Paralympic Games. The pair took home a Gold medal from the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Additionally, Michellie is an IRONMAN Certified Coach and the head coach at www.giddyupmultisports.com.
Ryno Power and Michellie met officially in late 2017. After three months of testing the products, Michellie agreed to be an Official Ryno Power athlete and will be an ambassador to the brand through her racing, competition and training efforts. We’re so lucky to have Michellie Jones on-board helping us dive deeper into the triathlon world.
